Pantone GOE colours

Postby criterium » Mon Mar 17, 2014 11:27 am

Hello everyone.
I am new here and am a little lost.
Took more than 20 years working with FreeHand and so far had not had many problems besides us to stop supporting thousands of users ...
The case is now back in Pantone codes change colors (Pantone GOE), this is the question: How can add the Pantone GOE color library to the above libraries, so files are acf. o. bcf, if someone had great idea would alguana.
Thank you for your attention

I would avoid it. Who needs inferior sRGB colour values? A restricted colour space that is inferior to Adobe RGB (1998) ? (or the needs of photo retouchers who need a much wider gamut of colours). Only high street 'photo shops' would stoop to use sRGB (to print basic photographs) and that because it is 'the basic consumer 'default' (not an 'ideal print solution').

If your on a Mac (osx) you can actually compare 'colour spaces' with a handy built in utility. Look in the Mac > Utilties folder> ColorSync. On the left column you will see 'ColorSync profiles'. Click on sRGB to compare with LAB , CMYK or Adobe RGB (1998). They are all (3D) interactive 'colour spaces' to play with.

Matching RGB values is your best bet and would give you a wider choice of colours. sRGB colour values (as Pantone swatches) is pretty pointless for Graphic professionals but you can still compare colours based on RGB values at sites like this.
